Telecommunication Engineering

A lack of efficient telecommunications networks and the disparity between rural and metropolitan areas in telecommunications capacity are some of the most serious impediments to sustainable development and growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Telecommunications engineering at AIT seeks to address this situation by stressing learning and research covering a broad range of systems in fixed and wireless networks, including satellite communications. The major research areas include digital and mobile communications, network planning, teletraffic engineering, and optical network technologies.
